Bruce Dickinson, Janick Gers and Nicko McBrain of IRON MAIDEN accepted the "Golden God" award the event from TRIVIUM's Matt Heafy and Scott Ian of ANTHRAX.

Now in its second year, the Golden Gods second stage invited 300 lucky metalheads on board HMS Hammer, which sailed up and down the river Thames for three hours docking at Indigo2 and depositing the bands — headliners ANTHRAX alongside support acts CLUTCH, TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED and MALEFICE — and fans on board in time for the start of the award show.

In honor of the legends that headlined this year's second stage, Metal Hammer magazine rebranded the boat HMS Anthrax.
